FishVA is built upon EV’s unique and world leading expertise, including the technologically advanced Optis® downhole imaging platform and in-house developed, proprietary image dimensioning techniques. By providing quantified visual clarity on the position and condition of the fish, FishVA enables real-time decision-making and effective management of fishing interventions.

With FishVA well operators and intervention specialists can select or engineer the optimal fishing tool, and the most effective mode of conveyance, to achieve safe recovery of the fish with the minimum number of fishing runs. Through this proactive technique, production up time is significantly improved as wells are brought back on stream more quickly than if using conventional methods.

Through close collaboration with technical partners and innovative in-house engineering, EV have developed specialized video-while-fishing solutions, available for drill pipe or real-time data-enabled coiled tubing conveyance systems. These solutions provide real-time feedback during wellbore clean-up and fish recovery attempts. For wireline, or conventional coiled tubing interventions, information is recorded in memory and made available immediately at surface after each run in hole is complete. Whether during real-time video-while-fishing, or between sequential runs, FishVA eliminates the risks of repeated failed fishing attempts due to unknown conditions or false assumptions.
