PigCAM® : The Eye of Integrity
EV’s PigCAM® technology is a range of free-swimming camera systems that, combined with our advanced Visual Analytics, deliver a complete 360-degree, high-definition view of pipeline internals
EV’s PigCAM® technology captures high-definition images in fluid and gas pipelines, giving operators unprecedented visibility into even the most complex challenges.
Built with adaptability in mind, the PigCAM® range features a modular design that accommodates different pipeline sizes and integrates seamlessly with other smart pigging technologies such as caliper, MFL, UT, or EMAT. This creates powerful combo tools that add significant value to existing evaluation programs.
Whether with PigCAM® 4 for smaller diameters or PigCAM® 8 for large-diameter pipelines, operators can address a wide range of assessment needs, including corrosion and cleanliness assessment, coating inspection, crack and leak detection, and blockage quantification.
Designed for smaller-diameter pipelines, PigCAM® 4 delivers up to 24 hours of continuous 25 fps color video. With four azimuthally aligned cameras, it provides a complete 360° high-definition view of the pipeline’s internal diameter.
Built for larger-diameter pipelines, PigCAM® 8 uses eight high-definition side-array cameras to deliver a full 360° view. With up to 96 hours of runtime, it can assess as much as 176 km in a single deployment.
Now Available with INLINE's Speed Control Pig, Bringing PigCAM's Speed up to 10mph
EV and INLINE Services are pleased to announce a new technical collaboration focused on advancing Active Speed Control Pigging technology to enhance inspection quality, operational efficiency, and pipeline integrity management. This partnership brings PigCAM®’s operating speed up to 10 mph (4.47 m/s), redefining what’s possible in inline inspection and marking a major step forward in high-speed, high-resolution data acquisition.
When paired with Inline Services’ Speed Control Pig (SCP), PigCAM® inspects natural gas pipelines without requiring drastic flow reductions. The SCP’s Active Speed Control system integrates real-time telemetry, autonomous braking, and adaptive control algorithms to regulate tool velocity independently of the product flow rate. This enables consistent inspection speeds, enhanced data resolution, and reduced operational disruptions, particularly in pipelines with variable flow conditions.
