CCUS is central to the world’s journey to net zero. But the success of pipeline repurposing for CCUS depends on internal cleanliness. When CO₂ enters a network, all pipeline contaminants can make the difference between safe operation and costly failure. Moisture and debris accelerate corrosion, trigger cracking, and form carbonic acid, all highly detrimental to carbon steel.
To accurately see the cleanliness condition of their pipeline, ENI chose to deploy EV’s Visual Analytics through PigCAM®8. Using eight side-view cameras, PigCAM®8 provided a full 360° view of the pipeline interior, revealing debris and liquid pooling at low points.
Results were delivered via EV's AIVA™ platform within 48 hours, providing a comprehensive cleanliness report, providing a consistent, data-driven assessment of readiness and the evidence needed to act with confidence.
PigCAM®8
EV’s PigCAM®8 is a free-swimming camera system that utilizes EV’s advanced Visual Analytics technology to deliver a full 360-degree view of the internal diameter of pipelines in stunning high definition.
AIVA™
AIVA™ is a data revolution, and by revealing key information about condition, status and performance, AIVA™ provides a helping hand to support the management of wells, pipelines and other critical energy assets and infrastructures.
