In demanding environments, ensuring casing integrity is critical.

In this latest case study, an operator needed to confirm the location and severity of a suspected production casing breach before planning any remediation. Without a clear understanding of the defect, any intervention would carry unnecessary risk.

To investigate the well, EV deployed Optis® Infinity IVC, combining high-definition downhole video with multi-finger caliper data to provide a complete 360-degree view of the internal geometry and direct visual confirmation of the casing's condition.

Using EV's Pipe Deformation Analysis, the geometry of the pipe was reconstructed in 3D and displayed through EV's AIVA® platform. This confirmed the defect was isolated to a casing collar and verified that the surrounding casing remained structurally sound.

With clear visual evidence and quantified analysis, the operator was able to confidently plan a targeted remediation strategy, reducing uncertainty and avoiding unnecessary intervention.
