EV’s Optis® memory or real-time cameras are the number one visual solution for production related challenges. By combining leading-edge video technology with ruggedized, pump-through capability, EV provide comprehensive and real-time feedback to support coiled tubing conveyed well interventions.
With the ability to circulate fluids and transfer high mechanical force to downhole completion hardware, coiled tubing is a highly versatile conveyance platform for production enhancing solutions. However, these same features, combined with higher operating costs when compared with other modes of conveyance, can introduce operational and commercial risk when deployed blindly, and without feedback control mechanisms in place. Whether manipulating a completion component, or delivering well clean-up treatments, a lack of understanding of what is happening downhole is often the difference between success and failure.
With a highly versatile suite of coil-enabled video systems, EV provide coiled tubing specialists the information they need to plan their next move and assess the performance of their actions, helping to ensure success and minimise risk. EV’s cameras systems can be run with a flushing sleeve to enable pumping of clear fluids as close to the view-port as possible, with sleeve ODs chosen to suit the minimum restriction and the required flow rate. Alternatively, camera systems can be run without flushing sleeves if fluid circulation is required elsewhere, or minimum restrictions do not facilitate their use.
For critical operations, EV support real-time visual diagnostics via electrically-enabled or fibre optic-enabled coiled tubing systems. This integration of coiled tubing capabilities with real-time visual diagnostics enables operators to perform ‘find, fix and confirm’ operations, for a range of applications, from a single run in hole. This real-time visual approach to production solution services delivers significant time, cost and risk reduction benefits when compared with conventional coiled tubing interventions.
Applications include:
- Monitoring fluid movements and entry in horizontal wells
- Sand and wellbore clean-out monitoring
- Mechanical damage inspection
- Inspection of Frac Ports and Sliding Sleeve Devices
- Imaging dropped objects and wellbore fish
- Inspection and monitoring of corrosion and erosion
- Determining cause of hold-up events such as scale, salt, hydrates
- Leak and cross-flow detection
- Inspection of milling, jetting and cutting operations
