Whether it is at 250m or 3000m Operators are learning that downhole or wellbore video can save significant time and cost. The time when the only help was a lead impression block or the fishing hands' intuition is gone. Whether on a deepwater semi-submersible or a land work-over rig EV's Optis™ cameras reduce downtime and improve safety in fishing operations.

EV's video services require a clear fluid to get a picture. A range of fluids can be used from filtered seawater, through nitrogen to Zinc Bromide completion fluid. The clear fluid only needs to be in the zone of interest.

• Optis™ Slickline and E-line cameras can be run through drillpipe and clear fluid spotted to ensure a picture.
• Optis™ E-line can be used to guide overshots in real time.
• Optis™ coil requires only that the clear fluid is pumped through the coil.
• Optis™ RT-120 can be deployed on drillpipe with continuous circulating through the protection cage.

Optis E-line and Optis™ RT-120 require specialised personnel but Optis™ Slickline and Optis™ Coil can be run by trained non-EV personnel. As a result both Optis™ Slickline and Optis™ Coil can be held on offshore rigs to run when required without specialised video personnel potentially saving days of rig time.

Many Operators have lived to regret not running a video camera before commencing milling operations. Cement returns can indicate a very expensive problem that could have been avoided by fully understanding what was being milled upon! Whatever the milling operation EV's Optis™ cameras can make it a safer, more efficient operation with a higher chance of success.

For planned fishing operations it makes sense to write EV's Optis™ cameras into the program and be prepared for every enventuality. For unplanned fishing operations Optis™ Slickline can be either held on the rig in situations such as deepwater drilling or mobilised at short notice via helicopter.
