Optis Coil

EV's Optis™ camera technology is ideally suited to deployment on coil tubing in either memory or real time mode. The coil tubing can be solely a deployment mechanism in highly deviated wells with a clear fluid. Alternatively in an opaque fluid coil tubing can provide both camera deployment and the ability to flush a clear fluid ahead of the camera ensuring a picture however tough the environment. In high temperature environments running coil deployment can also be used to reduce tool temperature by circulating fluid through the sleeve.

EV's cameras are deployed inside our proprietary Coil Tubing Running and Flushing tool. The Running and Flushing tool provides:

  • Quick and simple rig up with a standard PAC connection
  • Protection for the camera from mechanical impact
  • The ability to flush up to 5 barrels a minute through 15 downward and 5 side ports ensuring the best chance of a good picture

With EV's memory camera up to 5 hours of full colour video can be acquired, with the ability to stop and start recording at pre-programmed times. Simple to operate, our coil tubing memory camera can be kept as part of the coil tubing tool box, available to rig-up and run whenever required.

Applications for coil tubing deployed EV camera technology include:

  • Determining the cause of hang-ups or inability to get down
  • Fishing evaluation
  • Mechanical inspection
  • Pre and post milling runs
  • Pre and post scale clean-up
  • Open hole frac evaluation
  • Barefoot gas well production monitoring
