Wellbore integrity through the entire completion
This featured application was a planned inspection in a 2 7/8" tubing and dropping out into 4 1/2" casing below the tubing. The customer chose to use slickline for the hoisting method as they had a unit available and on location. With the well conditions it was an ideal candidate for EV's industry leading downhole memory camera.
EV's memory camera provides true downhole video – up to 5 hours of colour video at 30 frames per second giving significantly more downhole video information than alternatives available in the industry. With this the customer was able to inspect the entire well bore from the tree to the obstruction. While going in the hole we were able to identify the broken flapper valve, sliding sleeve, screen assembly and the obstruction in one run. With this single run into the hole the customer was able to produce an intervention procedure in a matter of hours. With slickline already on location it made for less cost in mobilization and quick start to the intervention operations of this well.
Good wellbore preparation is key to gaining successful images. The client fully understood this requirement and was proactive in assisting EV in developing the operational programme which led to the successful run.
