Tubing scale build-up
April's video of the month is an EV slickline memory camera run in the North Sea. The customer had been trying to intervene on a gas well and was unable to get down. The first part of the video shows what is believed to be scale build-up along its length. The combination of colour and full video aids in the diagnosis of what the deposits are over and above other logs such as a caliper.

In the second half of the video the reason for not being able to get down the well becomes clear. The tubing has failed and partially collapsed at a connection and you can see the pin folding into the wellbore. Liquid can also be seen entering the tubing in the damaged section.
